Alligator - American

The American alligator lives in the south east USA (Florida and Louisiana). They are the largest reptile and can grow up to over 6 m in length. Alligators live on the banks of rivers and in the water. They can stay submerged for a surprisingly long time. Alligators feed mainly on fish but will also eat any animals such as dogs, horses etc. which come to the water to drink.
